Jessica Gurulé has been with the City of Fremont Dance Program since 2010 and has worked with all ages. Throughout her school years she trained in both tap and ballet. In the past, she has performed in many musicals with StarStruck Youth Theatre such as 42nd St., Cats, The Music Man, Annie and Guys and Dolls. Jessica is now a dancer in a local tap company and has her bachelors degree in recreation from CSUEB. Jessica loves seeing the growth that her students make each year.
Ricky HoHip Hop
Ricky Ho has been dancing Urban Hip Hop since 2010. He has been trained in various styles of hip hop, such as Breakdancing, Locking, Whaacking and more. Ricky is currently dancing on a team called re.DEFINE and on another dance team called Fresh Dynamix. There he hopes to learn new ways to strive for his passion in dance.
Cole had been dancing and training Hip-Hop since 2008 in a dance crew named re.DEFINE dance company, currently directed by Michael Mappala and co-directed by Margela Cruz and Ron General. Cole love to dance and teach dance. First is because dance is a good way for him to express his words and emotions through his choreography. He says it is fun and easy for everyone to understand especially to a dance community who is supportive. Second is because he can spread his knowledge to other people and hope that they strive to love and have a passion for dance like the way he does.
Learning Hula at a very young age was not just about dance, it's your heart, talk story, and gather. Hula teaches you to come just as you are. Later, Polynesian cultural dancing became my playground to dance in a beautiful way of expression, self discipline, respect for family, and the Spirit of Aloha.
Youth Ballet & Tap
Kaylanna has been dancing contemporary since 2007. She also likes to dance tap, ballet, and hip hop. She also used to dance and perform at her church. Kaylanna loves to have the opportunity to pass what she knows onto others and continue her dancing passion.
Dancing is Sheela's passion. She has been teaching and dancing for the past 17 years . Sheela is a science graduate from India and hold associate degree in Child Development from Mission college."Dance helps me unwind, relax and express my feeling." Sheela teaches dance to spread joy and happiness to others because she believes dance brings happiness.
