Located on the back wall of Quik Stop Market facing McDonalds at 4318 Thornton St.
Country life, as was experienced in Fremont in earlier times, is depicted in this mural signed by Ray McGinnis. These are two scenes from the six panels comprising the 108-foot-long mural that was commissioned by the owner of McDonald's and painted in 1978. At that time, Mr. McGinnis had a partner by the name of Richard Luczkow, whose son and granddaughter remember that he painted the train and the two children on the horse, depicting his children, Jason and Alyse Luczkow. Sometime in the late 80s, McGinnis repaired the mural, added two more children in the pool scene, and put a protective coating on it as well. Privately owned.
