Stivers Lagoon Outdoor Classroom

 The City received an Outdoor Environmental Education Facilities (OEEF) Grant Program from the California Natural Resources Agency of the State of California which provides assistance to local agencies and community-based organizations for the development of outdoor environmental education facilities. The grant will be used towards Stivers Lagoon Outdoor Classroom in order upgrade its existing facility. The Stivers Lagoon Outdoor Classroom project will replace a mulched area and log seating with the construction of an ADA-compliant decomposed granite surface and cut stone seating in a concentric semi-circle arrangement for approximately 50 people. The project will also include the addition of  new interpretive signage, an ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk from the parking lot, and the conversion of  existing parking stalls into accessible parking stalls.
