Jaipur, India

Jaipur became Fremont's newest sister city in 1993. Located about thirty minutes by air southwest of New Delhi, Jaipur has over 3,000,000 residents.

Known as The Pink City for the rosy tint of many of its buildings and ancient walls, Jaipur is a mixture of the old with a burgeoning high technology industry. Tourists are regularly treated to an elephant ride to the old fort overlooking the old walled city.
