Cook n Art Camp - (Ages 5-7 and 8-11) Calling all young artists & chefs! Use your creative talents to explore art and create cooking projects all in one class. Improve self-esteem through creative expression. Dress for messy fun. Instructor: Ellen Shultz. Camp is for 6-10 year olds during spring break. Beginning July 7.
Ceramics for Youth and Adults
Create 3-dimensional art projects, both practical and artistic. You will learn handcrafted ceramic techniques while sculpting figures and pots. Build using slab procedures including scoring & slip techniques. Create vases and free forms using coil techniques. Pottery will be medium-fired with use of white clay and non-toxic glazes. Fee includes clay, firing, and glazes.
Modeling! - (Ages 7 & up) Open to young women and men. Upon completion, you will be able to successfully execute basic modeling walks, turns, vocal presentations and respond appropriately when anyone directs you: 'show me your walk.' The course will cover grooming, headshots and resumes. Girls are to wear closed-toe 'pump' shoes with heels no higher than 1/2 inch. Jazz or ballet shoes are acceptable. No flip flops, sandals or shoes without heel support will be allowed. Dress to move! Begins June 24.
Fiber Arts Camp - (Ages 6-14 and 9 & up) Class to be held at Shinn Bungalow (changed from Centerville. Do you enjoy various fiber arts including knitting and crocheting, hand sewing, fabric painting, beading, and bookmaking? Learn some new skills AND make progress on your own projects as you work independently with instructor's supervision. Workshops are open studio and students are encouraged to work at their own pace-all abilities welcome. Weekly camps begin July 14 through August 29!
Teen Fiber Scene - (Ages 10-16) In this camp, enjoy various fiber arts including knitting and crocheting, hand sewing, fabric painting, beading, and bookmaking. Class includes instruction AND project work, with students working independently with instructor's supervision. Teresa Reynolds is a Bay Area art teacher for ages K-6. She has taught painting and fiber arts as well as art history for children. Workshops are open studio and students are encouraged to work at their own pace-all abilities welcome. $40 materials fee due first day.
