The District is also a well-connected transportation hub. The Amtrak Capitol Corridor train provides Fremont with links to both Oakland and Sacramento to the north and San Jose to the south, and the Altamont Commuter Express (ACE) train travels from San Joaquin County to Santa Clara.

Redevelopment Project Area
Within the Centerville business district lies the 302-acre Centerville Redevelopment Project Area.
Recent efforts by the Redevelopment Agency to revitalize the District include a number of major improvement projects, such as streetscape and facade improvements, restoration of the Centerville Depot, and completion of the Centerville Bill Ball Plaza. All are key projects intended to help retain the scale, character, and heritage of Centerville.
