Warm Springs Business District

Named for its hot springs of mineral water, Warm Springs was the site of the world famous Warm Springs Hotel & Spa, Leland Stanford Winery (later known as Weibel), and Galindo-Higuera Adobe.  One of the five towns incorporated in 1956 to form Fremont, Warm Springs offers attractions from the past as well as a look into the future of Silicon Valley as an attractive location for the high-tech and biotech industries.

Exar Building

Today, the Warm Springs Business District is home to hundreds of Fremont's well-diversified high-tech firms in the industry clusters of software, hardware, telecommunications, semiconductors, and biotechnology.  Warm Springs includes well- recognized private and public firms, many with established partnerships and operations across the globe.  Warm Springs Business

Location and Access

The Warm Springs District is located in the southeastern part of Fremont.  Interstate 680 conveniently passes through the heart of the  district, providing a direct link with San Jose in the south and Pleasanton and Contra Costa County communities to the northeast.  Interstate 880 is immediately adjacent to Warm Springs and provides easy access to Oakland in the north and San Jose in the south.

Warm Springs will also be home to a new Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, located at Osgood Road and Grimmer Boulevard.  The Warm Springs BART station is part of the BART extension from Downtown Fremont into Santa Clara County.  Construction of the extension is scheduled to begin in 2007.
