Provide Coupons for National Night Out 2006
Advertise your business for free at this year's National Night Out on
Tuesday, August 1. In an effort to encourage residents to shop and
dine in Fremont, the City is collecting discount coupons to include
in neighborhood "giveaway" bags. The bags will be distributed at more
than 140 neighborhood block parties that night.
To take advantage of free advertising to a large number of
Fremont residents, please provide 1,000 coupons for the City to use.

Advertise Your Business in the "Passport"
Fremont businesses can participate in a new program called "Passport
to Shop, Dine and Discover Fremont." Launched by the business
organizations in Fremont's five historical districts and the Fremont
Chamber of Commerce, businesses can purchase a business listing in
the Passport that includes a special offer, giveaway, or ability to
enter your individual monthly drawing (if you have one).

ELDERSafe, a new public education campaign developed by the Fremont
Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fremont Class of 2006, trains postal
and newspaper carriers, bank tellers, delivery people, pharmacists,

warning signs to look for with seniors in the Tri-City area.

Employment Training Panel Workshop Pays Off
The City is pleased to announce that two Fremont firms have been
awarded funding ($38,000 and $99,450 respectively) from the
California Employment Training Panel (ETP) to train employees in
computer skills, continuous improvement skills, and manufacturing
skills.
In early February, Economic Development staff hosted an ETP
workshop and invited Fremont-based manufacturing firms.
