NUMMI Receives EPA Award
Kudos to NUMMI, who recently received an Energy Star Plant Award from
the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
They were one of three Toyota manufacturing facilities that received
this award for their commitment and leadership in protecting the
environment through energy efficiency. It is the first time the EPA
has given the Energy Star Plant Award.
The plants' efforts in installing energy-efficient fluorescent
lighting, reducing paint shop hours, and eliminating certain sections
of paint operations to reduce energy use all were considerations in
the awards.
