Grade Separation Project Update
Construction on the Washington Boulevard/Paseo Padre Parkway Grade Separation Project, the largest public works project in the City's history, is moving along.

Niles Town Plaza
Groundbreaking officially kicked off in July for the Niles Town Plaza, which will be constructed on the north side of Niles Boulevard, between H and I streets. Once completed, the new plaza will provide the overall Niles community with a public gathering place, event venue, and source of community pride.
Environmental cleanup of the former railyard property on which the plaza will be built is planned to begin in September; it's the first phase of the site work that will occur on the plaza over the next year or so. more...

As part of our economic development strategy, the City continues to position Fremont as a viable location for new companies to join this life science cluster. City staff has been working closely with several such companies over the past year as they select sites or expand in Fremont.
