Free Holiday Shopping Bags
Free Holiday Shopping Bags The City of Fremont is giving away free "Shop Fremont" shopping bags to local businesses for use during the holiday shopping season. The bags may be picked up Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at City Hall, 3300 Capitol Ave., Building A. For more information, contact Kim Marshall via e-mail or at 510-284-4026.

The Irvington, Mission San Jose, Niles, and Warm Springs business associations are hosting holiday events over the next couple of weeks in their respective business districts. (The Centerville and Niles business associations hosted holiday events last weekend as well.)

    Ballpark Village Application Filed The City received an application from the Oakland Athletics Baseball Company on Nov. 8 related to the proposed Cisco Field & Ballpark Village Project to be located near the intersection of Interstate 880 and Auto Mall Parkway. The application describes a combination of land uses for the proposed Cisco Field & Ballpark Village, including approximately 540,000 square feet of retail, 3,150 units of housing, and a 32,000 seat Major League Baseball ballpark. more...

    Kudos to Cargill Kudos to Fremont's Cargill for donating $5,000 to support the City's Pathways to Positive Aging Project! The donation will be used to expand our Pen Pal Program between seniors and sixth graders.
    Efficient Lighting Assistance for Businesses
    Do you need assistance in setting up efficient lighting for your business? If so, check out the California BEST program. It's a contractor-focused program that provides auditing and technical assistance to commercial customers with 100 kW or less demand, which are most small businesses. This program is for retrofitting only, however, as it does not cover new construction, additions, tenant build outs, or similar construction activities. more...
