Planning Commission Members

 
The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Avenue Map to City Council Chambers. For meeting information, call 510-494-4440.

Role

Recommends to the City Council the adoption, amendment, extension, addition to, and maintenance of the General Plan for the physical development of the City as mandated by State law.
 
Provides discretionary review and approval as provided by the Municipal Code over the subdivision of land, zoning and land use.
 
Planning Commissioners receive $175 per meeting, up to a maximum of $350 per month. Planning Commissioners are required by State law to file an annual Statement of Economic Interests with the State Fair Political Practices Commission.
