Planning Director Jeff Schwob oversees the Planning Division of the Community Development Department. As Director, Jeff manages both long-range and current planning functions of the City.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon and is a member of both the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners. His career in planning spans 19 years with experience in both current and long-range planning. Prior to coming to Fremont in 1999, Jeff worked in the cities of Santa Rosa and San Rafael, as well as Alameda County. 

 

Jeff's goals for the Planning Division are to ensure that new developments foster Fremont's fundamental goal of being a city of quality and distinction while planning for the future through an update of the City's General Plan.
