This project is categorically exempt under California Environmental Quality Act Guideline 15315, Minor Land Divisions, and Guideline 15304, Minor Alterations to Land.

Item 3. TEMPORARY FIRE STATION #11 - 46355 LANDING PARKWAY - (PLN2008-00340) - to consider a Conditional Use Permit to allow the City to locate a temporary fire station on a developed industrial site located in the Industrial Planning Area. The facility would consist of a 1,440 square foot modular building for crew quarters and a 1,350 square foot sprung membrane structure for the fire engine. This project is categorically exempt under California Environmental Quality Act Guideline 15303, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures.
Recommended Action: Approve, based on findings and subject to conditions.

Item 5. OFF-SITE PARKING ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT - (PLN2008-00344) - to consider a Zoning Text Amendment to increase the distance allowed for the required off-street parking site from 400 feet to a distance between 700 feet and 1,000 feet of a development site (Fremont Municipal Code Sections 8-22003.1(d) and 8-22005, Parking Regulations). This project is exempt per California Environmental Quality Act Guideline 15061(b)(3) in that the project has no potential for significant effect.
