A virtual Town Hall Briefing will be held on August 11, 2020 at 6:00 pm via Zoom and livestreamed on the Fremont Police Facebook page to share with the public, results of the community engagement efforts regarding policing and race that have occurred this summer. The entire Fremont community is invited to attend and can register online.
This Town Hall is part of the Engage Fremont initiative and builds on the community dialogues that were held in July and early August. Approximately 150 Fremont community members participated in the six community discussions. Participants spent the majority of the meeting in breakout rooms discussing key issues and offered recommendations to improve policing and race relations in Fremont. These community dialogues were supplemented by an Open City Hall survey that received over 500 responses.
The August 11 Town Hall Briefing will be divided into three segments:
- Presentation of discussion group and online survey
- Elicit written comments and questions from the Town Hall Briefing participants
- Engage in an assessment of the issues and proposed recommendations using interactive survey tools.
To register for the Town Hall Briefing and to submit any questions or comments you might have, please visit our registration website. Note that participants can also submit questions and comments in writing during the virtual meeting.
