• Fremont is proud to be the home for the California School for the Deaf
• Using a social service grant from the City of Fremont, DCARA provides interpreting and crisis intervention for deaf seniors at the Fremont Senior Center  
• St. Joseph's Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing also receives social service grant funding to provide classes on parenting, HIV prevention, and other topics for the deaf community

• The State Department of Rehabilitation, located at the Fremont Family Resource Center, provides job/vocational assistance

• The City of Fremont offers programs and collaborates with the Community Alliance for Special Education (CASE) to provide a number of programs related to learning disabilities
