FRC Room Rentals
FRC meeting and conference rooms are available to any individual or organization needing a gathering place. Rooms are available seven days a week from 8am-11pm, with room capacities of 24-80 people. Rates vary from $35-$70/hour. more....

Onsite Child Care at Discovery Cove
Do you need childcare for just a few hours? Or maybe you have regular daycare service but need an occasional back-up? The FRC operates a drop-in hourly childcare service for well children. Limit 12 hours a week. Reservations recommended.

Your Tiny Tickets Help
Do you have leftover BART Tickets with a few cents on them? These "tiny tickets" can be converted to help needy families purchase their children's eyeglasses, medical equipment, medications, etc.

The East Bay Community Foundation will reimburse us with vouchers which can be distributed to our neediest families. Your small donations add up and can help our low-income families considerably.

Special Invitation for the Public

Are you uninsured? Have you or someone you know had a hard time getting health care? Would you like to improve health services in our county? The Alameda County Board of Supervisors wants your input! On October 4th from 4-6pm, a forum on health care will be held and you're invited. The meeting is at Washington Hospital, Anderson Auditorium, 2500 Mowry Avenue in Fremont. Childcare will be provided. Raffle prizes and free food too. To RSVP for childcare or interpreter services, call 769-2213.
FRC Office Upgrade

FRC Office Upgrade Construction began in July for the FRC's Administration Office, Suite #A110. With the award of a Community Development Block Grant, the FRC is converting underutilized lobby and conference space to private offices for client counseling. During construction, Judy Schwartz, Ana Lilia DeLeon Gonzalez and Davinder Atwal are temporarily housed in FRC Suite #D470, while Loretta Williams, Deborra Lay and Christine LaBadie are in Suite #D450. Phone numbers and email addresses remain the same. The A110 suite will re-open for business in mid-October.

New Doctors at Schuman-Liles

The timing couldn't have been better. Schuman-Liles Clinic located at the Fremont Family Resource Center was looking for new clinical team members and Dr. Ramdas Naik and Dr. Kermit Johnson were selected to provide psychiatric services to patients in our Fremont office. [read more]

New FRC Financial Services Continuing the recent FRC Strategic Direction of expanding options to FRC clients in the area of Family Economic Success and asset development, the FRC has recently asked Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) to provide additional options for credit repair and financial counseling here in Fremont. What is Family Strengthening?

The Fremont FRC is a member organization of CFRA, the California Family Resource Association. CFRA is a new statewide membership association of organizations that serves families. Its purpose is to advocate for the programs, policies and resources that help families and communities thrive and succeed. [read more]

Tell Me About 4C's Need information about childcare? The Community Child Care Coordinating Council of Alameda County, known as "4C's", offers many services to county residents. 4C's is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving families, children, and childcare providers since 1972. Engaging Parents

Do you work with parents? Holly Veldhuis, Ph.D., Preschool Director for the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center in San Francisco, led a workshop for the South County Early Childhood Network earlier this year that focused on helping teachers in early childhood education communicate with parents.

FY07 Provider Workshops The FRC Training Committee is excited to announce this year's Lunchtime Learning Series. We have some excellent topics to offer local social service providers. Workshops are free and run from 12-2pm in the FRC's Pacific Room. Seating is limited so come early with your lunch. For some topics, continuing education units are available to LCSWs and MFTs. FRC Studies Sustainability

The Fremont FRC has been chosen to be a participant in the 2007-2008 Strategies Sustainability Project. The Project was launched in 2006-2007 and is a technical assistance program designed to assist FRCs in securing sustainability and enhancing our visibility. [read more]
Continued Success in Schools

For more than a decade, the City of Fremont's Youth and Family Services and the Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) have partnered to provide counseling services at Fremont schools through the Healthy Choices Program.

Healthy Choices started in the early 1990's and has become a popular resource. [read more]
