Adult Day Care Program ($37,226): This program provides adult daycare service to Fremont seniors with chronic health problems, including Alzheimer's disease. Daily program activities include: memory/ reality orientation, exercise, group discussions, and health education and screening. Transportation for those who need it and mid-day meals are included as part of this program. |

Creative Living Center ($30,424): This program is a year round day rehabilitation program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. The program serves approximately 49 Fremont residents. The goal of the program is to support clients' efforts to engage in employment and to be productive in society. |

Deaf Counseling and Advocacy ($16,536): DCARA provides one-on-one services, community education workshops, and acts as a client advocate for deafened, deaf-blind and hard of hearing persons. Community education will focus on daily living issues. Services include communication access, independent living skills, I&R, advocacy, and peer counseling. Services are provided from the Family Resource Center and California School for the Deaf. |

LAS takes court action when necessary to help seniors who are already in abusive situations. |

Fremont families also address documented occurrences of physical and sexual abuse and neglect through educational programs and psychotherapeutic sessions. |
