The City of Fremont provides grants for making improvements to accommodate the needs of disabled renters when units are leased and the property owner approves the work.
Eligible accessibility improvements include:
Installing ramps.
Installing safety hand rails.
Installing grab bars.
Installing levers to replace door knobs.
Upgrading showers, tubs, lavatories, and kitchen sinks.
Installing long handled faucets.
