The Fremont Multipurpose Senior Center, Part of Aging and Family Services, a Division of the City of Fremont Human Services Department, has nutritious meals prepared on site.

Meals Information

  • Delicious lunches are prepared on site by our talented Chef Ron and his fabulous crew of volunteers.
  • Lunch is served each day, Monday through Friday at noon. 
  • Lunch ticket prices: $4 for Senior Center members and $6 for non-members (special meals will cost a little more).
  • Special dietary needs, including vegetarian lunches, can be prepared any day by contacting the Senior Center Office (510-790-6600) by 10 a.m. 
  • Early Bird Meals-  Lunch meals can be reserved ahead of time for pick-up between noon and 4 p.m. by calling 790-6600 by 10:30 a.m.  The cost of these meals is 50 cents more to cover the cost of the containers.
  • Weekly menus are also recorded on the Senior Information Line: 510-790-6610.
  • Frozen meals are specially priced at 3 for $5.00 for members, and 3 for $6 for non-members on Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Home Delivered Nutrition -- Meals on Wheels

The LIFE ElderCare Meals on Wheels program provides healthy, nutritious meals to frail, homebound residents of Fremont, Newark, and Union City.

  • Meals are delivered Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Meals are available to meet special medical, dietary, and ethnic needs.
  • Valley Community Health Systems prepares food fresh daily each morning and a Meals on Wheels staff member brings the food to Fremont. Volunteer drivers deliver the meals and provide a daily wellness check on their frail clients.
  • Meals on Wheels delivers over 83,000 meals a year throughout the Tri-City area.
  • LIFE ElderCare is always in need of additional volunteers to be Meals on Wheels drivers. For more information, call 510-574-2092.
