- Building permit fees - these fees are based upon a percentage of the total construction valuation of the project. See below for a complete listing of these fees.
- Sub-trade permit fees (plumbing, electrical, mechanical) - These fees are based upon the number of applicable fixtures or units installed in a project. For more information about these fees, select the fee from the list above.
- Fire Code/Fire Suppression permits and inspections - these fees are based upon the actual hours of review and inspection required by City staff or a consultant. For more information about these fees, select the title above.
Building Inspection Fees are included in the cost of the building permit application with the following exceptions:
A. Reinspection Fees - A fee of $89.70 may be assessed for the following reasons:
- Situations that require an inspector to make an additional visit to the site, including failure to cancel an inspection when work is not ready, when work is incomplete, or when required corrections are not made.
- "When the Inspection Record Card is not posted or otherwise available on the work site, the approved plans are not readily available to the inspector, for failure to provide access on the date for which the inspection is requested, or for deviating from plans requiring the approval of the building official." 1997 UBC Sec. 108.8.
B. Overtime Inspection Fees - Charged for weekends and anything outside normal inspection hours at the request of the permit holder, with prior approval from the inspector.
- A minimum fee of $269.10 is charged for Building Inspections
- A minimum fee of $288.00 is charged for Fire Inspections.
