Plan Review Fees

Plan review (structural and non-structural) fees are collected for the review of a project's design and construction documents for compliance with the applicable codes and regulations.

Plan review fees may be separated into two major categories:

     a.     Building plan review fees - these are based upon the valuation of the
structure and are payable at the time of plan submittal.
     b.     All other review fees (Planning, Engineering, Landscaping, Hazardous
Materials, etc.) -  these fees are based upon the staff time required to
review the project.  Most commercial interior tenant improvements and
minor residential additions are not subject to reviews by Planning,
Engineering, etc.  For more information regarding these other reviews,
             please call 510-494-4480.
