The City of Fremont's Development Services/Planning fee system is based on the principle that fees cover the costs of project review. The minimum deposits listed on this summary are intended to reflect typical total projects costs. Progress billings will be made during review of a project if staff charges exceed the listed deposit; prompt payments of billings will assure continued project review. Failure to remit a progress payment within an appropriate time frame, as determined by the Assistant City Manager/Development and Environmental Services Director, will be treated as a withdrawal without prejudice to the underlying proposal. The City reserves the right to offset any shortages using other accounts for the same proposal. (Master Fee Resolution, City Council Resolution No. 9166, adopted June 24, 1997)
