Plumbing Code Review and Permit Fees

What type of projects have these fees?

 
The installation, alteration, and/or relocation of the following items might require application for a plumbing permit and payment of the applicable permit fees:
 
1.     Drainage or vent pipe repair
2.     Plumbing fixtures (sink, water closet, shower, tub)
3.     Gas piping outlets
4.     Interceptor - Non-residential Kitchen for grease
5.     Interceptor - Pre-treatment of Industrial Waste
6.     Lawn sprinkler system, including backflow
7.     Rain water drains
8.     Sewage disposal system - private
9.     Building sewer
10.   Storm drains less than 10" and greater than 10"
11.   Vacuum breaker
12.   Water piping
13.   Water heater

Why are there Plumbing Code Review and Permit fees?

 
Plumbing Code Review and Permit fees are charged to capture the plan review, inspection, and administrative service costs that are associated with these types of permits.

When are fees due?

 
If plan review is required, the plan review fee is determined and paid at the time of permit issuance.  Staff calculates all other itemized permit and application fees at this time and payment of these fees is required prior to permit issuance.
