The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council the adoption, amendment, extension, addition to, and maintenance of the General Plan for the physical development of the City as mandated by State law. The Planning Commission also provides discretionary review and approval as provided by the Municipal Code over the subdivision of land, zoning and land use.

Reimbursement
Planning Commissioners receive $175 per meeting up to a maximum of $350 per month. The Commissioners are required by State law to file an annual Statement of Economic Interests with the State Fair Political Practices Commission.
Meetings
The Planning Commission usually meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Please see our online Agendas and Minutes.
