Preventing Storm Drain Pollution When Doing Roadwork

Storm drain pollution from road construction that involves excavation and grading can cause soil erosion and deposition of sediments in storm drains.  During road paving, surfacing, and pavement removal operations, there are numerous opportunities for storm drain pollution from asphalt, saw-cut slurry, or excavated material.  Extra planning is required to store and dispose of materials properly and to guard against pollution of the storm drains and creeks.  For more information, please refer to the brochure below.
