The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit (NPDES Permit) issued by the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board (Water Board) regulates stormwater pollution. The NPDES Permit requires the City of Fremont to place conditions on all development projects to incorporate site design measures, source controls, treatment measures and for larger projects, flow duration controls. Required for all development projects on lots 10,000 square feet or greater.
Must be submitted to the City prior to issuance of development permits.
Required for all projects incorporating stormwater treatment or hydromodification management measures.
Runs with the land and must be recorded with Alameda County Recorder's Office.
An approved, notarized Agreement must be received prior to permit issuance.
To expedite review and approval, carefully follow all instructions. At least one review cycle is generally required to obtain approval.
