Dance Instructor

Salary starts at $10.68 - $15.02 (ASIII)

Job Description

Instruct students ages 2 to seniors in beginner to advanced levels of techniques, which may include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom and salsa.

Select and plan class content.  Select all music and choreography.  Attend staff meetings. Integrate annual recitals in conjunction with other dance instructors.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.

Graduation from high school or GED and two years work or volunteer experience. Note: technical expertise in field may replace work experience year for year.

Must be available to work after school hours and weekends.

Desirable Qualifications

Five years of study with a public or private dance instructor or completion of a college dance program.

Three years of experience teaching dance.

Ability to work independently.
