Bulky Goods Pickup

  • Is it time for your annual spring clean-up?
  • Do you need to dispose of or recycle large items?
  • Are you thinking about cleaning out the garage?

If so, call Allied Waste at 510-657-3500 to schedule a "bulky goods pickup."  It is fast and easy and there's no need to borrow a friend's truck or deal with tarps and ropes.  

Bulky Goods Collection

As a residential customer with individual curbside garbage service, you are entitled to two bulky good pickups per year included in your residential garbage service package. 

At the time of scheduling, Allied Waste will provide you with helpful hints for making the bulky goods pickup an easy to use service. 

What is collected?

 
Large items such as:
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Washing Machines
  • Dryers
  • Stove tops
  • Conventional Ovens
  • Microwave ovens
  • Sofas
  • Chairs
  • Mattresses
  • Dressers
  • Computers and their periphery
  • Televisions
  • Stereo gear
  • And more   

What are the limitations?

 
The general guidelines are:
  • Amount of material per set-out is limited to a pile 6 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 ft.
  • No construction or demolition material is allowed. 
  • Loose items need to be boxed or secured in bundles small enough for one person to lift without danger of injury.
  • Do not set out materials until you have confirmed the collection date with Allied Waste.
