Distribution Centers

Container Types

The City of Fremont will provide residents with two free one-gallon oil jug containers and two oil filter bags from any of our distribution centers.

You may use these city-issued containers for
your curbside collection service. Please note this is for Allied Waste customers with curbside service only, or to drop-off oil or filters at a Fremont certified collection center.

Container Distribution Center

The oil containers are specially designed to be leak-proof when properly sealed, so that oil does not spill or drip onto any surface, into a gutter or down a storm drain.

Distribution Center Locations

You must be a Fremont resident to receive these containers. Eligibility may be determined with a photo ID, utility bill or some other form of ID to verify.

Container Replacement

If you can use the curbside collection option, Allied Waste will replace your containers during collection. (If this does not occur, please call Allied Waste/BFI at 510-657-3500 to request new containers).

If you take your used oil and filters to a collection center, keep your containers for reuse, unless they are damaged or show wear that might result in a leak. You can pick up more containers at the distribution centers.
