Fremont citizens and the City Council recognize that trees are very important to both the present and future of our city. The Park Maintenance/Tree Crew Section is responsible for approximately 55,000 trees within the public right-of-way in front residential and commercial property, as well as City parks and landscaped boulevard areas.
City trees are maintained through the City's Urban Forestry Program.
Tree City USA Program
The City of Fremont has been a Tree City USA since 1996. The Tree City USA award program was initiated by the National Arbor Day Foundation to recognize the effort put forth by communities that properly manage their Urban Forests. Join the City's Urban Forestry Section as we celebrate civic pride and public awareness each Arbor Day in April.
