Online FEMA CERT Class Registration

Here are instructions to sign up for the online class:

1. Find the program's website. Go to http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/is317.asp and select the hyperlink Interactive Web-based Course - NEW. The hyperlink gives you information on browser requirements for completing the course.
2. Select New User
3. Enter the required information and click Log On
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Logon - create a unique nickname*.
   • User ID - use your phone number.  Do not use letters or your SSN.
   • Password and Confirmation*
   • Email - important! It is possible to enroll without filling this, but you will not receive proof of completion before Class 2.
   • FEMA Category - select EMI
4. Enrollment Page - click on My Courses
5. Find IS317 on the left-hand side and highlight.
6. Click Enroll with the class highlighted.

Next Steps

• Complete all six modules before Class 2. 
• Print out a copy of the test before starting the lessons. 
• Fill out the print out copy as you explore the program.
• Remember to take the 40 question online test at the end.

You will receive an email after you successfully completed the test.  A diploma will follow in the mail approximately one week later.
