Fire Extinguisher Demonstrations

The Fremont Fire Department provides fire extinguisher training and demonstrations to businesses in Fremont through the truck and engine companies.

Benefits

The benefits that a group of employees will receive from these demos are:

Information on basic fire and life safety.
How and when to use a fire extinguisher in the event of an emergency.
Becoming familiar with the firefighters of the community.
Hands-on training with the fire extinguishers.
Learning about the different types of fire extinguishers.
When to call 9-1-1.

Schedule a Demonstration

To schedule a fire extinguisher demo with the Fire Department, please contact Pam Franklin at 510-494-4299 at least 3 weeks in advance of the date you wish to have your demo.

Please provide the following information:

Name and address of the business.
The contact name and phone number.
How many employees.
The date and time you desire to have the training.

Demonstration Requirements

Here are a few requirements for the demos:

The group must be between 10-20 employees.
The business needs to provide one fire extinguisher per 2 - 3 people.
No demos before 9 a.m. or between the hours of Noon - 1 p.m. & 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
