Hazardous Materials

The Fremont Fire Department is the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) for all businesses in the City of Fremont.

The CUPA consolidates the following environmental programs:

Hazardous materials management plan and inventory (HMMP) and the hazardous materials business plan (HMBP).
Risk management program (RMP).
Underground storage tank (UST) program.
Spill prevention, control and countermeasure plan (SPCC) for aboveground petroleum product storage.
Hazardous waste generators.
On-site hazardous waste treatment (Tiered Permit).
