Support Fremont's Temporary Housing Navigation Center
As a Compassionate City, we invite you to be part of the solution and join us in creating Fremont’s first Housing Navigation Center.
As part of the City of Fremont’s strategic approach to addressing the growing homeless crisis, the City is opening a temporary Housing Navigation Center (HNC). The HNC is an innovative approach to help those experiencing homelessness find housing while providing a clean, safe, and calm environment so participants can focus on finding stable, permanent housing. The HNC will be located behind City Hall and is anticipated to open in mid-2020.
Support from the community will transform the Housing Navigation Center into an inviting and dignified place for our homeless neighbors to do the hard work of rebuilding their lives. You can help make the HNC successful with a monetary donation.
The temporary Housing Navigation Center aims to be a welcoming and private environment for the participants and an integrated part of Fremont’s new Downtown. Landscaping and beautification will be a crucial element in achieving this goal. As a member of the compassionate Fremont community, you are invited to sponsor areas of the HNC garden. Sponsors will receive recognition for their support and a photo of the final garden.
There are five sponsorship levels when donating to the HNC Garden:
- $20 will sponsor a single plant
- $150 will sponsor a small planter box
- $350 will sponsor a medium planter box
- $500 will sponsor a large planter box a
- $1,000 will sponsor the landscaping surrounding one of the buildings at the HNC
Sponsors of the planter boxes can choose to have name recognition on the planter box.
Your monetary donations will directly support the development of the HNC. Donations of any size will help achieve the goal of housing homeless community members and expand the City’s capacity to address the homeless crisis.
You can donate through our secure website, or send a check, made payable to the City of Fremont and send to:

At this time, we are not accepting in-kind donations due to the Shetler in Place Order issued by the Alameda County Health Officer in response to COVID-19.
At this time, volunteer service days will not be scheduled for spring and summer 2020. The City appreciates your understanding as we work together to slow the spread of COVID-19.
