Sewage

Sewage Overflow

Call Union Sanitary District at 510-477-7500.

Sewage Backup

Sewage backups are often caused by stoppages in the sewer lateral serving the individual property.  The property owner is responsible for clearing the property's sewer lateral between the building and Union Sanitary District's main sewer in the street.  See Union Sanitary District webpage "Sewer Repairs".

Sewer cleaning contractors are listed under "Sewer Contractors" in the yellow pages of your telephone book.

Please contact Union Sanitary District or visit their web pages if you have questions about their policies and procedures.
