Street Lights

Street Lights Out or Not Working Properly

Call the City's Street Light Repair program at 800-544-4876, or complete an online repair form.

When reporting outages, please be prepared to provide the following information to assure timely repair of the correct pole:
  • The street light pole number. The number is located on the street side of the pole, about 8 feet up from the base. (This is the most important piece of information.)
  • The address of the pole.
  • The nearest cross street.
  • Whether the light totally fails to go on, or if it flickers, or goes on and off randomly.
Did You Know?
  • The City has over 15,000 street lights, and that the street light lamps are replaced on a 7-year cycle?
  • Street light lamps used in Fremont are as energy efficient as possible.
  • Electricity for street lighting costs $800,000 each year.
