Sailboats are available for rental for those who are properly certified. There are two types of sailboats available for rental at Lake Elizabeth:
- Toppers, which have a flat, board-like hull and seat two passengers.
- El Toros, with a bathtub shaped hull, and also hold two occupants.
Sailboat Rental Requirements/Rules
*Note: Certification is Required for the Rental of Sailboats.
The rental of sailboats at Lake Elizabeth requires the possession of proper sailing certification from a reputable institution (i.e. Red Cross or the City of Fremont).
The City of Fremont offers sailing classes Spring through fall.
For experienced sailors, the Lake Elizabeth Sailing Card is obtainable through a short testing process with the following guidelines: |
