Dance, Fitness & Gym

Our goal in our Dance program is to provide quality service to our participants in a fun, safe environment. Our program provides an avenue for self-expression, self-confidence, strength, and coordination building. Through the many dance styles offered in our program gives encouragement to participants. It also provides the opportunity to enhance self growth and a better understanding of the art form of dance.

Dance History & Highlights

  • 1962, Fremont Leisure Services offers first women's ballet class.  
  • 1963, 1st Dance Recital held at Washington High School.
  • 1970's, Dance classes offered expanded from mostly children Ballet and Tap to youth Tahitian and Hawaiian as well as adult Jazz, Belly Dancing, Ballroom, and Disco.
  • 2007, 44th Annual Dance Recital held at Ohlone College Smith Center Theatre.
  • Our dance program serves boys and girls, men and women from the age of 2 years to Seniors.  Classes are held in four sessions: Fall, Winter, Spring Summer. 
  • Dance classes currently being offered: Ballet, Ballroom, Belly Dance, Bollywood, Brazilian, Creative, Dance & Fitness, Hawaiian Hula & Tahitian, Hip- Hop, Jazz, Modern, Salsa, Tap for youth and Seniors, and much more!

Fitness & Gym


Exciting NEW Fitness and Gym program that is designed with your child in mind -and body! Our program helps to reduce the risk of childhood obesity and promotes a healthier balanced life with exercise and fun. Our classes can also assist your child in performing better in school and sleep better at night! The Fitness and Gym program offers classes at different levels for boys and girls, providing participants with developmental bodybuilding and coordination activities basic to all sports while developing physical skills specific to exercise.

  • Cheerleading and Cheer Camp (ages 6-10)
  • Rhythmic and Movement (ages 7-13)
  • Tiny Munchkins (ages 16 months to 23 months)
  • Little Tot Playgym (ages 2-3)
  • Little Tumblers (ages 3-5)
  • Beginner Fitness & Gym (ages 5-7)
  • Fitness & Gym (ages 7-12)
