Central Park

The Central Park Dog Park officially opened on June 12, 2001. The park is located on a one-acre tract of land adjacent to the Central Park Softball Complex with access off of Stevenson Blvd. The double gate entry to the dog park turf area was designed for the convenience of dog owners and the security of their pets.
 
Other park amenities include:
  • Benches
  • Pet waste disposal bags 
  • A drinking fountain for both pet and owner

Enter the Park at the Softball Complex.

Sunrise to 10 p.m.
 
 

Rules

  1. Dogs must be currently licensed and license must be attached. (FMC 3-5700 AND 3-5707)
  2. An adult must accompany dog(s) inside the park at all times and carry a leash.
  3. Dogs must be leashed when outside the dog park area.(FMC 3-7209)
  4. Dangerous or vicious dogs are not allowed. (FMC 3-5100(10)
  5. Dogs in heat or under four (4) months of age are not allowed.
  6. Dogs must have all required vaccinations.
  7. An adult must accompany children under the age of 12.
  8. Dog owners must clean up after their dogs. (FMC 3-5300 (5)(6)(7).
  9. Owners are requested to self police the area and use the park at their own risk.
  10. Park is subject to closure due to maintenance and/or special events.
  11. The City of Fremont is not responsible for injury or illness to dogs or their owners.
  12. Failure to comply with posted rules may result in a citation, expulsion, or arrest. (FMC 3-7204 (B)(C)

Report other non-emergency dog park problems to the central park visitor services center 510-790-5541.
