Tiny Tots

Tiny Tots is an enrichment, preschool program operated by the City of Fremont Recreation Services Division. The program serves children 1-1/2 to 5 years of age. Enrollment is open to the public and children are admitted to the program without regard to race, color, creed,or sex.
 
The enrichment program, through fun-filled activities, seeks to enhance the child's social, physical, emotional and intellectual development. Activities include supervised play, singing, computer games, puppetry, story-time, discussion of themes, special events, motor movement, field trips, and much more.

Program Philosophy 

 
To present to the children activities that will foster their growth and development, encourage their curiosity, expand their interests, and help them to recognize all their potential.

Benefits of Program

  • A child learns social skills through early play experiences. The best opportunities are those that are planned and supervised.
  • A child develops physical skills through play and the challenges offered through physical recreation and art opportunities (both fine and gross motor skills).
  • Physical activity is intellectually stimulating and enhances the learning process and the development of cognitive skills.
  • A child learns creativity through play - skills and perspectives essential to a full and productive life.
 

The Program

Locations

Classes are held at various locations throughout Fremont.

Fees

Fees vary depending on the number of class meetings. Classes are grouped into sessions that may be two to three months in duration. The summer program offers two one month sessions. 

Curriculum

A well rounded program touching upon all areas of child development such as socialization, arts and crafts, motor movement, computer skills and more.

Staff

The staff is composed of experienced, skilled professionals educated in Early Childhood Development. Each class is staffed with two or three teachers and aides. 

 

Pre-K Classes

  • Available at most centers.
  • Must be 4 years of age by December 2.
  • Teach readiness skills to prepare children for entry to Kindergarten.
  • Proof of age is required for Pre-K classes.

Parent and Child Preschool

  • Child is 1-1/2 to 3 years old with parent.
  • Parent and child participate together in age appropriate activities.
