Junior High Leadership Conference

The Youth Advisory Commission held their 14th Annual Junior High Leadership Conference on March 3 at the Fremont Teen Center. This year, the Youth Advisory Commissioners prepared and presented the following workshops:
  • How to be taken seriously by parents, teachers, and adults.
  • How to be an overachiever.
  • How to survive and thrive in high school.

Junior High Conference

Other than the workshops held, there were speakers at the event as well. Students from Irvington high school came and conducted a survey as a part of a service requirement they needed to fulfill in order to graduate.

Then, a member of the exchange club discussed Fremont's 50th birthday and how the city is going to celebrate it. The Youth Advisory Commission was also presented with a check from the exchange club that was used to provide transportation for the junior high students to the conference.
