This program is an offshoot of YSC for youth entering 7 th grade who want to have fun and help make Fremont a nicer place to live.
JYSC is a great camp opportunity that parallels YSC in content and schedule but is specifically for those pre-teens.There are more recreational activities and participants will have the opportunity to go on field trips to water parks, amusement parks, bowling, or other activities.
Program Requirements
Teens entering 7th grade.
Program runs the last week in June- the first week in August.
Monday-Thursday, 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Friday fieldtrips, 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. (unless noted otherwise)
Arrive & depart near the New Performance Pavilion in Central Park.
Program Highlights
The 2007 Junior Youth Service Corps program enrolled 47 teens and completed more than 3,000 hours of community service.
There is a balance of work and fun recreational activities each day.
Projects may include painting over graffiti and keeping Central Park clean.
Weekly trips to EXCITING locations!
Field trips are optional and available at an additional low cost.
Open course registration begins Friday, April 4, 2008.
