Once the junction of two major rail lines, the Niles Depot was moved to its current site in 1982 to save it from demolition.  The depot is home to the Tri-City Society of Model Engineers and to the Jim Sullivan Memorial Library, which has over 1,000 books on railroad history.  Three sizes of model trains whizzing along scale-model tracks are on view, along with a large selection of railroad artifacts, early photos of Niles, depot switch stands, and a caboose, which is open for tours.  The museum and library are open the first and third Sunday of each month, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. during the months of October through March and every Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the months of April through September.
