PEP
About the Class
Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) is a three-hour class based on the same curriculum as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program. This condensed class covers all the important skills that CERT training provides, without the long-term commitment of joining the team. The skills covered include:
- PEP training curriculum
- Home disaster preparation
- Utility control
- Fire safety
- Hazardous material awareness
- Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) awareness
Class Information
PEP is scheduled four times per year. Please call (510) 494-4243 for class dates and time. The cost is free.
High school students can apply this class towards student community service hours for graduation.
