Bay Street Improvements
The City of Fremont has a project to install new street improvements on Bay Street.  The project will create a pleasant, downtown, pedestrian-friendly atmosphere by:

• Removing utility poles and relocating overhead utilities lines underground
• Widening sidewalks, adding new curbs, and resurfacing the street pavement 
• Planting street trees and adding decorative street lights  
• Adding park benches and seat walls

The project is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion by Fall 2010.
