Sheep Shearing Day

Spring has sprung and it is time for our sheep’s annual “haircut”. Watch as the farm’s sheep get sheared; then, try your hand at wool carding and see the transformation from fiber to yarn at the spinning wheel.

Tartan  Day /  Scottish Faire

​Celebrate Tartan Day and join in the pageantry as Scottish folk from all over the area gather their clans and celebrate their heritage. Enjoy bagpipe bands, highland dancing, traditional Scottish food, and historic re-enactments.

FREE Admission
​Celebrate the holiday with an admission-free day of fun! Help with farm chores, ride the train, and tour the Victorian farmhouse. Taste some farm-baked cookies from our outdoor wood stove, try your skills at some old-time games and visit with the goats, sheep, chickens and bunnies.

​Celebrate America’s birthday! There will be music, games, contests and races for everyone all day long. Test your skill at nail-driving, egg toss and watermelon seed spitting or join the pie-eating or tug-of-war contest. Bring a picnic and spend the day the old –fashioned way!

Historic Rail Fair by SPCRR

The Rail Fair returns to the farm over the Labor Day weekend. Enjoy steam train rides, hand car rides, displays of garden railroads, model railroads, rail yard equipment displays, Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor displays, food, the children's Hobo game, music and much more! Haunted Railroad by SPCRR


$7/Adult (ages 13 and up); $5/Child (ages 3-12); Children ages 3 and under are FREE. Advance ticket sales start October 1st, 2017 on their website at www.spcrr.org. Tickets will also be available on a first-come-first-serve basis at the park ticket office after 4:30 PM each night of the event. Website

Dec 8 Patterson House Christmas Open House $7 at the door. Continue the holiday season by touring the Christmas-decorated Patterson House and enjoy light refreshments. Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door starting at 5pm. For more information, call 510.791-4196.
Dec 9 A Patterson House Christmas Event $10/child ages 2-10. Tickets include one accompanying adult. Each additional adult is $2. Tour the decorated house, take a picture with Santa, and decorate a treat to take home in the Granary. For more information, contact Rena at 510.791-4196.
