The City of Fremont cares about its community and continuously strives to enhance the quality of life of its residents by increasing, improving, and preserving affordable housing in Fremont. To this end, the Housing Division is dedicated to providing affordable housing opportunities for families at different income levels, from extremely low income to moderate income.

Development Services Center Closed March 16 to April 7, 2020

Effective Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, April 7, 2020, most City of Fremont facilities will be closed to the public, including the Development Services Center located at 39550 Liberty Street in Fremont. The Development Services Center is the City's one-stop shop for accepting, reviewing, and approving permit applications and construction documents for all types of projects. During this closure, the City will not be processing permits.

The health and safety of the Fremont community is the City’s number one priority as we continue to monitor the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The City is implementing these temporary precautionary changes to non-essential City operations to protect City employees and the public who use City services by limiting person-to-person contact.

If you have scheduled business with the Development Services Center (building inspections, plan check appointments, etc.) you will be contacted by City staff. Staff will also be available by phone or email to provide assistance and answer questions. Please see the contact information below.
