As part of that celebration, the City’s Youth Commission has been working with staff to identify items that will tell a story about our vibrant community as it exists today, to be stored in a time capsule that will be unveiled at the City’s 100th Anniversary Celebration. The City of Fremont is partnering with Fremont Unified School District (FUSD) in assisting our Fremont Youth Commissioners in collecting items for the Fremont Time Capsule from FUSD schools.
The installation of the time capsule at the site of Downtown Fremont’s future Civic Center will be part of our anniversary festivities and the items collected will be critical in portraying who Fremont was in 2016.
