City-Funded Grants


The City of Fremont Human Services Department administers two grant programs that assist in funding various programs, projects, and agencies that provide services to Fremont residents.

Notice of Funding Availability

Approximately $550,000 CDBG Funds available for FY 2018-2019 and FY 2019-2020  for the following:
  • Housing rehabilitation program: Targeted at providing financial assistance for qualified low-income residents to maintain their homes in a safe and habitable condition.
  • Capital projects: Designed to specifically support public facility (and housing in limited cases) acquisition, pre-development, construction, and rehabilitation projects.
  • Housing related public service projects: Targeted at continuing the City’s effort in promoting fair, affordable and accessible housing.
  • Micro-enterprise projects: Targeted at enhancing the City’s efforts in promoting family economic success and self-sufficiency.
